Season 3: the summer solo trip of 2022

In this season, our protagonist takes a journey of self discovery. It's a Joseph Campbell-esque hero's journey: a call to adventure where she reaches revelations that completely transform her, aka a solo Europe trip

Franfurter (3/n)

All the red lights turned green

Frankfurt seemed to come alive just for me. Pedestrian lights would turn green as soon as I wanted to cross. Empty squares suddenly ordained themselves with fairy lights, stalls of apple wine and live music. Frankfurt made me feel warm inside. My first night there, a German woman approached me as I sat reading my book. Aghast she said ‘it’s a party, how can you be reading?’. She pulled me to her friends, and then proceeded to drop wine on strangers and befriend them too. Frankfurt will be remembered for the warmth it brought.

Berlin (5/n)

Merlin’s beard, Berlin was weird (in the best way)

If trips were movies, Berlin would be the one where the protagonists (2 college friends meeting for the first time after school in a foreign country, something they spent 4 years of their life thinking of) spontaneously quit their 9 to 5 jobs, go on a bender, get recruited by the intelligence services, become spies, travel the world, start a band, become one-hit-wonders, lose everything they ever earned, understand the true meaning of life only to hit their head on a pole and forget the past few days

In Bruges (n/n)

It's giving peace (n/n)

Season finale with a lesson learnt: "Nobody can bring you peace but yourself" (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Season 4: 'a room of one's own' in New York

In this season, our protagonist discovers that a room of one's own in New York comes with thin walls and loud neighbors, but also with the intoxicating freedom to cry, dance, or go out for Thai food at 2 AM without explanation.

Season 5: being a waterfall in Geneva

In this season, our protagonist trades the vertical maze of Manhattan for the pristine elevation of the Alps, where life unfolds as a Sound of Music meets Eat Pray Love metamorphosis. The mountains strip away her city armor, revealing someone who discovers—through the gentle kindness of female friendships—that she'd spent years trying to be a mountain when she was always meant to be a waterfall.

Season 6: present (moving far away, to a sunny place)
