Shivani - a young woman with dark wavy hair and a warm smile, wearing a purple sweater and black jacket against a city backdrop

Hey, I'm Shivani.

At eight years old, I transformed our family bathroom into my laboratory. The cold tile floor pressed against my knees as I crouched among my carefully arranged ingredients: my mother's perfume, a bottle of lavender shampoo, a bar of soap, and a tube of lipstick that would surrender its waxy secrets to my cause.

This time, I was certain I had cracked the code. After countless experiments that had left the bathroom floor sticky and my parents exasperated, I was sure to finally create something wonderful.

That eight-year-old's desire to create things has continued on, and now this is where I store my sticky floors.
